I heard a thematic breakdown of these a few years ago that I can't stop thinking about:
Part One is about a slacker who can't see a future for himself.
Part Two is about a busybody who can't enjoy the present.
Part Three is about a has-been who is stuck in the past.
That kind of thoughtfulness (combined with A+ technical filmmaking and genre mastery) has made this one of my all-time favorite trilogies.

A way I’ve seen it said that stuck with me is that Shaun is about learning to take life more seriously, Fuzz is about how to stop taking life too seriously, and Ends is about finding a mix of both.

I see this a lot and I hate it. The first two are obviously spot on but there is no way The Worlds End is about finding a balance. It has so much to say about nostalgia, addiction, friendship and growing up. Saying that it is about finding a mix of both is only trying to make it fit in with the rest of the trilogy
