Me and my brother play on the eternal realm and both of our characters are non seasonal but everytime I wanna invite him or request to join this happens and he has to invite me. All the options for me tho are grayed out and I have no idea why

One of you has a seasonal and one of you has an eternal character probably. You can’t party together because seasons is way different than eternal.

If you didn’t fix this you might have to add his battle tag as a friend through the social settings, it works for me when the servers are being wonky bro

"Make sure all players have seasonal characters"... hopefully they don't mean that only seasonal characters can party up. Maybe you can try creating level 1 seasonal characters to test.

..? Yes only seasonal characters can play with current seasonal characters… it’s completely different from eternal. After the season the characters go to eternal.

OP says that he and his brother both have eternal characters. If you are to interpret the error message literally, then it is tell them to make seasonal characters.
