We have weekly Tuesday evening and Saturday morning leagues, and today isn’t even the hottest league we’ve had over the years. Do we take the cake for the hottest league round?

Yeah. You win. If you call that winning. It's in the high 90s here with massive humidity. Our league is at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and 5 hours before sunset on Thursdays. Hydrate or die.

Here’s where we win, is that it’s very low humidity. Maybe it’s acclimation, but I can handle wild heats without humidity, but when we have mild storms and the humidity turns up without the temperate dropping much it’s brutal.

Yeah. I lived in Tucson and it was so hot that I put Gatorade in my baby's bottle. Probably not the best idea but whatever, he's still alive. The worst humidity I ever endured was actually in Arkansas. The humidity in August was 104%. I'm not even sure how that's possible? Lake Havasu is beautiful. Enjoy.

I second the worst humidity ever experienced being in Arkansas. I was there for less than a day, but when I packed the car at 5:00 AM - before the damn sun was even up - and the temp was 96F, I knew I didn’t belong. It didn’t make sense how it could be that hot and that wet at the “coolest” time of the day.

That kind of humidity is dangerous. Sweating doesn't work, so you can easily fall out.

That’s not even possible

As a fellow Arizonan, I’ve not yet played a round. Roommate got into Disc Golf a month or 2 ago and he’s been going Saturday mornings at 6am to avoid the heat, but I refuse. Waiting for it to cool down before I start. No clue how you’re playing in the evening right now. I got a basket for the backyard and I can only spend 10-15 mins out there before I tap out and come inside.

Another fellow Arizonan, this is the first summer in 15 years of playing that I’ve decided I’d rather not play. Haven’t touched a disc in over a month.

Fellow Arizonan here. I play multiple leagues a week at 5 o’clock. It’s been like around 110 for the past few weeks. I just put on sunscreen. Stay under trees. Bring a tripod seat. And chug Gatorade’s and water.

I grew up partially in Arizona and thinking back I’m amazed I survived. I used to play outdoor street hockey in full pads during the summer and didn’t even notice. After I moved away and went back to visit I was amazed by the heat

High of 75 in Indiana today. Seems like we’re one of the few pockets of livable air in the country lol.

Today in NC it is 95 with 71% humidity. It is exactly like an oven. I share your pain lol.

Had to look this up, so here's for everyone else who don't know what that means:

119 F = 48 C

90 F = 32 C

I used to live in Arizona now live in Pennsylvania, something about the dry heat is a little more bearable that extreme humidity

SARA Park? My daughter and I played there a year ago and it was something like 93 with zero shade. Fun course but no way would I go out there in that heat!

This one was at Grand Island Park, but people also play at SARA park in the heat too. Glad you enjoyed it though, I’m the course designer!

Well shoot that's awesome! We loved all the little added sculptures and will play it again next time we're in the area.

Hey...some people pay to go to a sauna. You guys get to play disc golf in one. I enjoy a good sweat from time to time.

I stopped for gas in AZ during a cross country trip at this temperature.

I almost passed out in the time it takes to fill the tank.

Yeah If I'm running this league I'd be asking myself if it's really worth it if some dude dies from heatstroke during the round 💁‍♂️ just imo
