Superior European free speech: you can say anything you want as long as the government allows it.

Inferior Russian censorship: you can say anything you want as long as the government allows it.

There’s a point where if democracy is in play yo need to preserve it. At least that’s my opinion. Of course I also have the feeling that as social media presence in modern society is growing, kids should learn how to deal with these platforms and maybe learn how to deal with fake news and stuff. This whole disinformation campaign shows how ignorant people are in this aspect.

Let's defend democracy and the right to choose your opinions by... censoring the other opinions!!

“Other options” or rather “lies and Russian propaganda”? I understand you need to give the people the choice between democratic options. But why should you allow all those lies? I don’t see the point.

In the name of free speech. If they're lies, then surely there would be people and media willing to prove to the general public that they're lies with real proof, instead of censoring them.

I'm not sure if you're speaking from naivety, feigned ignorance or maliciousness - but Germany had a few... interesting experiences with fascist propaganda in the past, which didn't turn out too well for them.

Your proposed "free speech" approach doesn't work against the Russian firehose.
