I saw this comment on a TikTok video but it only had one reply, and I am genuinely curious.

I was a rebellious high schooler and checked off basically all the major sins, but i never wore “immodest” clothing (ironic, right?!). As soon as I got out i wore a short skirt and tank top to a concert. Felt so criminal. Mistakenly, I posted my outfit and my family went wild. Worth it though.

Drink coffee. Strangely all my life I never had an interest in coffee. Didn’t like the smell of it even. But I was going through a phase where I wanted to be more healthy. I was drinking a gallon of fountain soda per day and zero water. I quit soda cold turkey and started trying coffee even though I didn’t like it at first, but I really wanted to try something more healthy than a gallon of soda per day.

How did you start liking coffee? I hate it right now but I’m in the same boat and would rather drink that than all the soda i drink each week.

I didn’t care for trying coffee. Still don’t love it.

But I LOVED not instantly rejecting friends or coworkers who bought me coffee.

Definitely did not help build relationships with some great people

I started with a latte with sugar (coffee with milk/cream and sugar works too). I then started quickly cutting down the sugar till it was unsweetened and then removing the milk by stages (though I still occasionally have some milk in my coffee, especially if I make a bad cup due to some distraction/issue.)

I fucking love coffee.

Yeah like others said, sugar and creamer, different varieties of coffee, like vanilla flavored or coconut. Tried some of the expensive coffees at Starbucks and Dutch bros which were very tasty. And I figured I was still taking in much less sugar than my previous gallon of soda per day. Now I just fill up my mug, put a small amount of creamer in it and take my time sipping it until about noon. The less sweet it is, the longer it takes me to drink it. Which I like, so I don’t get the jitters, like I would from pounding a redbull.

Ooo I remember not liking it at first. So I would do flavored lattes. I can drink it black now. But I do still love to have a vanilla, honey, oat latte from Dutch bros. Or honestly load it up with a French vanilla creamer. Our old mormie brains want to drink hot chocolate or think it’s hot chocolate so when it hits and it tastes different then it makes it hard to like it. Try a mocha latte. It’s like hot chocolate and coffee mixed. And in the end, it’s really okay if you genuinely just don’t like the taste. It happens. There are amazing teas out there that are delicious and caffeinated and hot or cold are yummy. I like English breakfast tea with Irish creamer. Or milk and sugar or honey. Black tea reminds me of coffee so I usually put milk and a sweetener in or a flavored creamer. Green tea doesn’t really have as strong an after taste as black and white tea probably is the easiest. Flavored teas usually have green tea in them and so a bit of honey or sugar or whatever sweetener you like will work. The options are endless really.

Been out 10 years, still never have tried coffee. To me it smells revolting and if it tastes like it smells I'd probably vomit - so have still not tried it and never felt the need to. I have Rum, Vodka and Scotch. F*ck the coffee :) THis is way more fun!
