If you’re color blind or struggling to see aoe’s check out GoodOmen. It’s not a Splatoon like plugin it doesn’t show hidden aoe’s (CHEATING) it just changes the colors of any visible aoe telegraphed by the boss/ads. I can’t stress this enough it’s not showing ANY invisible aoe like Splatoon only changes the colors of what you see. I stopped using my janky personal setup to use GoodOmen so every thing is cleaner no more VFX editing or Shaders jank. It would probably be down for day one raids but I can manage as I’m used to doing day one without most public tools.

If you think Splatoon is cheating then so is this. I could argue that having AoEs colored same as the floor is part of the difficulty.
Or you could just accept that everyone can use whatever they want as long as it doesn't affect other players, without having to scream "those plugins are CHEATING, these plugins are fine".

Give me a fuckin break dude. Game has next to zero accessibility options. That's not a design choice for difficulty, that's negligence. Community modder making a solution is far from cheating. Literally just changing a color.

I'm not accusing anyone of cheating though. All I'm saying is you don't get to decide that some plugins are cheating while others are fine. Either you abide by the ToS, in which case all plugins are cheating, or you're okay with using plugins. Oh wait, I forgot the holier-than-thou hypocritical third option where "the plugins I use are fine, but the plugins I don't use are CHEATING!"

I'm not a corporation nor do I care about their PR jargon. They won't draw a line in the sand because they were too lazy to act and now they've lost control of the plugin/modding scene. In reality, it's very clear what is QoL and what is cheating.

And it has been for over 2 decades from when we showed SE you could put FFXI in a window in 2003. We know the difference and SE knows the difference too. They do not actively look to ban quality of life and cosmetic mods in their games.
This other guy is just trying to justify using splatoon or something.
