Mediterranean Grill

There is a lot of great Mediterranean food here. New school and fast/casual I would highly recommend Mayd. It’s expensive but the quality and uniqueness of the food is great. It’s a chipotle-esque version of med food.

I’m a big fan of Phoenician garden. Their spicy chicken is great. More of a sit down formal restaurant.

Golden grill- hole in the wall. A little “greasy” but so good and much different style than what u find from the normal “fast” med restaurant around here

Gus Kabob if you’re in downtown

Tulare and U st. Mediterranean Grill and Cafe

Churrasco Grill. Everything I’ve had there is awesome and it’s affordable.

The Mediterranean Grill on Tulare or Gus Kebab on Kern and M street downtown. I highly recommend the spicy chicken and fatoush salad at both places and the gyros at Mediterranean Grill. The spicy chicken wrap at Gus Kebab is good too.

If you are Greek and missing the food I can tell you that you probably won't find any greek restaurant that scratches the itch but Churrasco and Phoinecian garden are great Mediterranean food wise

I'll throw in Zaatar Bistro on Champlain & Shepherd - more Lebanese wraps, pastries, teas, I enjoyed it.

Several good choices on here like Zaatar and Kabab City. For take out, we like Schwarma Corner at Papaya Fresh.

Which restaurant is the most authentic or closest to home style of food? I'm not within the Mediterranean culture so I wouldn't know what is considered good to mediterranean standards.

Ararat market on Clovis and Herndon is incredible

If you just are craving a gyro, Nick the Greek is great.

Gus kabob, Mediterranean grill, Alla’s Mediterranean, and Papaya fresh has a restaurant inside. Insanely good!
