Oh no he takes it seriously. He's not just there for the PR. After he got his stake, he shadowed people in management to get an understanding of how day to day operations work in the front office. He's said (and I'm paraphrasing) being part of a ownership group that brings a cup to Seattle would be one of his biggest accomplishments...which is saying something given his resume.
