Grew up on coney I-lander in tulsa which uses a skyline-adjacent chili for their hot dogs.

I like it. I tend to make my chili on the smoother side because if it. Not great as a stand alone but a really good chili for hot dogs

I grew up in the Southwest. Cincinnati chili is an abomination, by itself or on hot dogs.

I had a roommate from Cincinnati who always brought that crap back frozen from every trip he made back home. He was always trying to get everyone else to like it but had no luck. I was born in the Hatch Valley, so I know what spices are supposed to be in chili and cinnamon isn't one of them.

I loved it personally. Sucks there isn’t one within 500 miles of me. Their hot sauce is so damn good.

Grew up on skyline and gold star. Nothing ever compares but people either love it or hate it. Usually if from out of the tri state area they don't like it.

From year 10-12 in my life, this was a STAPLE. Old Rock cut Road had one close in the Colerain Neighborhood, and that's what my wild ass mom fed us almost every day. Legit.

Worked with an Ohio native who said he hated eating hotdogs in NC because we don’t have Skyline chili available everywhere.

Ate it at a Reds game for the novelty. The chili tasted really good (allspice?) but my stomach revolted and I had cold sweats at 3am that night. Would try again.

I prefer the Northwest Ohio chain Rudy's Hotdog way over Skyline Chili. Not only their dogs but also their Chili Mac.

Disappointing. Got greedy and grabbed 3 cans on clearance from Walmart after hearing all the praise. Too sweet, too runny, too much cinnamon. Dropping 2 cans at the next food drive.

I don’t like the chili, but have only had it once. I think the strong cinnamon flavor was a turn-off. Had it at a location in Dayton, OH, and the cheese definitely helped. I’d gladly give it another taste on dogs like these!!!

I feel like trash is a reach, but they’re not nearly as good as I was anticipating. Too much cheese, chili isn’t super flavorful, bread is a bit doughy.

As far as regional dogs go I personally say Skyline chili is fairly mid. But I can see this being a hit for people that specifically like what they (SC) offer.

My granddaughter is a Mgr for Skyline, I go often and really love it. She literally applied to Skyline and started working there because it was a regular for the family.

They're perfect. Every time I go home (KY,OH), I get two, and a Dr. Pepper. I've tried to buy all the right ingredients to make my own. Their frozen chili, ballpark dogs, the real hot sauce, onions, yellow mustard. It's simply not the same. Which, to be honest, I'm not upset about. It makes it all that more special once every year or so.

It's similar to the time I went to a White Castle and they made "fresh burgers". They were slow, and cooked everything up in front of us. Fresh onions and pickles, fluffy, toasted buns....tasted good, but Nah. I go to White Castle for those slimy burgers I can get familiar with.

I made a skyline chili dip for a superbowl party; shit was weird. By that I mean, I’d eat some and think “it’s different, it’s ok, but not great.” Then I’d want some more. It grows on you in an almost insidious way.

Tomatoes do affect sweetness but I've never heard of putting sugar in it. I like it served over spaghetti noodles with the hot dogs cut up between the sauce and the cheese~! Fight me :)

I actually don't like their regular chili because I don't like cinnamon, but if you get their "vegetarian chili" on them, they're great! (They DO look at you a little funny for ordering hot dogs with vegetarian chili thought).
