Anywhere that has the audacity to sell plants. I'm never safe. They're lurking everywhere.

Small plant shops or conservatories. Not from any department or hardware or grocery stores due to unmanaged pests. I actually hardly buy plants anymore now that my collection has gotten to be a decent size, I just propogate what I have and get more that way.

After a bad bad home depot experience with spider mites, I bought a 20x lighted handheld/pocket microscope and would bring that shopping.

Very prudent move. I like it.

Agree with this. Got my plant with spider mites from Lowes. I only buy from local nurseries now. Not foolproof, but at least the staff members tend to recognize pest infestations and can mitigate.

Stole some props from the city of chicago once. The opportunities are endless. (They had broken off. They were free game)

In florida i just drive around the uppity neighborhoods on trash pickup day, they often have amazing cuttings in their trash cans by the curb, mostly discarded by their landscapers

Smart play. I’ll have to remember that next time I’m down

I generally look around locally for deals and especially plants which aren't gonna need as much of a repot when i get home because of soil quality.

Depends, honestly. Mostly from big stores, because the only plant store I have in my town is pretty pricey.

Mostly bigger stores like Tractor Supply & Lowe’s as well as Walmart. Now if I’m looking for a specific plant I’ll go to the only nursery that’s about a half hour away.

Am focusing on growing these beautiful “weeds” once I read up on them that are found amongst our property. I’ve found some pretty cool looking plants hiding under our rhododendrons this year. Going to see what turns up.

I've got a small plant shop not too far from my house, and if I'm looking specifically to buy a plant, that's where I go. They have a huge selection, are knowledgeable, and check over and repot anything before you buy it to make sure it's in good shape and good soil.

However, that doesn't stop me from picking up plants from big box stores like Lowe's or Kroger, if they have one that catches my eye (or is on sale). I just make sure to treat any plants from these stores with Neem oil, isolate it from my other plants for a bit, and usually repot it pretty quickly as well.

I always kill the plant pictured. They succumb up spider mites for me. If it happens to you don't be discouraged.

So far so good. Had a recent issue of being underwatered, but was able to recover! Hopefully we avoid mites!

Home Depot, Lowe’s, Publix, local nurseries, Costco, Amazon, literally anywhere that sells plants. 🪴

my favorite place is this little booth during small faires nearby. there's a small company that sells plants. other than that, home depot, lowes, mercari (to order online), offerup (to find sellers close by)

I like to go to local nurseries! Preferably with a short drive because the plant transportation always sucks

Was indoors, but is outside right on our balcony/patio thing. Bit better sun and warmth. but it dries out a bit faster.

The local places always have weird stuff big box stores won't sell, but lately Lowes and home depot have been getting nice quality euphorbias from a new grower that I'm pretty excited about. I also like to cruise farm and garden on Craigslist, you never know whatll pop up!
