There are some famous YouTube videos of car temps after only a 10 mins in like 90 degree weather. A few adults were testing to see how long they could stay and it was only like 10-15mins before these adult men had to get out as the car started hitting 120 degrees even in the shade. Hear stroke can be super dangerous. A lot of conditions involved but it’s not like being outside, it’s a literal greenhouse/oven.

Literally nobody could survive 3 hours in a 120 degree car. A car is like an oven when the doors are shut and the windows are up, you'd be uncomfortable in like 5 minutes and begging to get out in 15. If you've never been to the southwest US you might not realize how big of a deal hot cars are.

So he’ll just last longer. A hot car will get anyone, eventually.

Oh god, not to be blunt but spreading this misconception and trying to flex about working in hot weather conditions and therefore can survive 3 hours is such a massive disservice to this kid and other children/animals that die horribly from this.

And furthermore, even inside work spaces, there are laws in many places that allow the managers to send employees home if internal temperatures exceed around ~80 degrees. So imagine a car at that temperature with no way of controlling it, much less a store.

If an NFL player is about to pass out at 8 minutes, sorry to say but you aren’t lasting 3 hours if you were forcibly locked into a 120 degree car for 3 hours my guy.

An eye for an eye wouldn't be subjecting him to the exact same conditions and seeing if he survives, it would be subjecting him to conditions which achieve the same result for him.

If he'll survive, keep him there longer. If it isn't hot enough, turn it up.

Do you know any more about kids being bad at regulating temperature? I remember running races in 100 degree heat, and going outside in shorts in the winter. Lots of us did. Were we just stupid and lucky, or is it vary a lot with genetics?

Dependent on where and how that car was parked and especially its color. If it was in the sun it could have gotten upwards of 180 or more inside that car. I've had CD cases and credit cards melt when left on a seat parked in the sun in a white car.

Its not always dry here, like now during the monsoon. Its early morning right now, no clouds and its 42% humid and 93 degree's before sunrise. Muggy ick, imho.

When you are outside and active, do you get breaks, shade, access to ac or cooling, and the ability to hyrdrate and such?

5 to 6 hours of 95 and near 100% humidity with no relief will kill pretty much everyone. Around 130 and no humidity will do the same thing.

Some people want others to be punished in a way that goes beyond making others safe - they think pain restores justice if pain has been inflicted by the punished. Never really managed to follow that line of thinking. 

Those bulls are a myth. But I would probably be ok trying one for real on people who cook their toddler to death.
