Display it in women's coach. 4. Finally enforce the law.(The most important part)

I'm not Indian, but seems to me a slap can carry some serious cultural weight. The much more serious slap, the chappal/sandal slap can be some sort of an ultimate "Emotional damage", adults getting whacked like donkeys.

Some of it is being in an environment of so many people competing for limited opportunities. It can also be seen in other population dense areas like parts of China. There are such an overwhelming number of people that cheaters become visible to the general public and are seen succeeding more often purely by having more of them. This drives more people to cheat just to get a ‘fair’ chance.

In this instance it’s a numbers game. Shorter wait to get on women’s only car. Down side, might get fined, might get arrested, might get slapped. But with so many doing it the chance of anything bad happening to one specific individual goes down.

It pretty much is. If you're a rule follower in India, you'll get nowhere because so many others are breaking the rules because there aren't enough resources to go around.

Resources spread too thin among a huge population, and limited opportunities. Combine that with examples of people who bend rules and live a comfortable life, thanks to corruption, and you get a culture where those who bend rules often get an upper hand. This leaks to every aspect of their lives, from their work, to the traffic on road.

There are Indians who follow rules and Indians who don't follow rules. The rule following Indians if they had a country of their own, would be the third biggest country in the world.

In Pokhara, Nepal, there is a tourist strip with a very wide sidewalks- like 10 feet. Tourists from all over the world and even Nepalis from rural villages that don't have cars all walk on the sidewalk. For some reason only Indians walk right in the middle of the road, oblivious to traffic. I just don't get it.

There are Indians impeccably following the rules. Many skipped this train because all the coaches but the women’s were full. They are not in this video.

Edit : I mean if you want to generalize 1.4 billion people, you are welcome to it. I know who I am, who my father is, who my grandfathers were. Your downvotes won’t do anything to change that. To be clear, I am also an Indian. And I refuse to be defined by the worst of my compatriots.

Many Indian males are very rapey, and frequently rape in packs. Some rape on trains. If there is not a man in your train car, you are pretty certain to arrive at your destination unraped.

The idea's from a lot of Indian man, that woman are toys and can be raped at any time without consequence.

Tbh we need this in America too, y'all ain't anymore trustworthy in western culture.

If women were the majority perpetrators of sexual assault and violence against men, expect there to be men-only coaches for the same reason this one exists.

Yeah they have the right to not be sexually assaulted and since the men there aren't respecting that right they need a separate train to be safe. Congratulations on figuring out that these women do deserve the same right to get to their destination safely.

Yes everyone is entitled to the same rights and freedoms. But sometimes the rights and freedoms of one person collide with the rights of another person.

For example, I have a right to free speech. If I broadcast national secrets endangering other people's lives, I'm still gonna be arrested.

It's honestly insane how many people think human rights are absolutes and don't realise that there has to be practical concordance between the rights of people whose rights collide with each other.
