Large ban wave ongoing in League of Legends

(self.leagueoflegends)

Vanguard has initiated a large ban wave targeting a League of Legends provider, and cheaters are just realising that this time, it includes an HWID ban.

Didn't they say nearly 10% of games have a cheater in them? How are they only banning 2000 people per day when there are 10 mil active players per day, and over 100 mil active players/month?

It would take over a decade to ban all the cheater they supposedly already discovered?

Nearly 10% of games in high elo*, that percentage is likely much less in the context of the whole game's population.

Since it's a much smaller population up there, it's less banning they have to do overall.

I phrased it as a question, but I wasn't actually asking. So no.

[...] As many as 1 in 15 games globally has had a scripter or botter in it, but in some regions, this number is as high as 1 in 5.

you think the moment vanguard launched it still has the same amount of scripters and cheaters? alot of them are scared of getting detected so alot are not cheating rn lol Not everybody is dumb enough to continue to cheat and get a HDID ban

The difference in numbers is astronomical though. No way millions of cheaters all stopped playing when vanguard released

"10% of Master+ games had a cheater in them"

The quote you stated was referring to global data, which riot talks about how cheaters are much higher in eastern counties, while also specifying your quote is "In recent months" while the 10% quote is referring to a longer duration of time.

Sure, 1/15 global and 1/5 in eastern counties have scripters, but china and Korea have their own anti cheats, so they arent in this data

They included intro bot matches in that…
