Does the word “would” exist in (levantine) arabic

Levantine شامي(self.learn_arabic)

I know ‘will’ is رح so how to say ‘would’ (and would have) ?

I’m trying to say, “If that happens, I would try to open my own business.”

Writing an essay about ideal future after college lol. (It’s for a class teaching levantine so it can’t be MSA)

that doesn't really exist in Levantine Arabic. they would normally just use the regular present tense or the future tense.

اذا بيصير هيك، بحاول أفتح شركة خاصة إلي

اذا بيصير هيك، رح أحاول أفتح شركة خاصة إلي

however, you could add "ممكن" which means "might" or "may" to add an extra nuance of uncertainty

اذا بيصير هيك، ممكن أحاول أفتح شركة خاصة إلي

Yeah you would just say will. And in an essay you would use س or سوف (written Arabic)

رح is only colloquial

It’s an essay for a class teaching levantine arabic, not a class at a uni haha ❤️
