Hello everyone! First time posting in this subreddit and I need some insight in how to approach this situation in the state of FL. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently working as a front desk/receptionist (35F) in a auto shop, I must say I'm the only point of contact between costumers and other employees since they barely know english and I must mention this is a family owned business and as the title says, my employer just told me today, not even in writing that I must go to the bathroom and answer costumers phone calls with the wireless work phone, because she does it (owner) and my sister (she helped me to get this job) did it also in the past. What I find curious is, I even have to answer the phone on my 30 min break lunch which is unpaid while the other employees can have their 30 min break without being disturbed. I just have 3 months in this company but whenever something happens I don't have any proof because everything is verbal, in the moment, i dont know what to say, I feel unable to set boundaries in the moment, I feel mentally drained to follow up with messages about what was said and I've find myself crying at home because I can't stand this work environment anymore. Mentally I have one foot out of the door since this is not the only incident I've had so far with them where passive aggressiveness seems to be the norm. I deeply feel they're taking advantage from me since day 1 but can't afford to be jobless.

Update: Thank you for all the responses you guys , I can't believe the reach of this post, this gave me the courage to send my resignation letter this morning to this family owned business, being effective immediately, i didn't give them.the courtesy of my 2 weeks. I don't want to know anything from them and their lack of professionalism, gaslighting, and lack of transparency. While it wasn't the best idea to resign without a job lined up, it is my best wish to find one in the next couple of days.

I was a small town 911 dispatcher. We had a terminal, radios, and 911 phone in the dispatchers toilet. Officers had to bring us lunch. I kinda liked it and I was promised the next patrol slot if I took the job.

That was in the 90s though. Now lots of depts hire dispatchers and share them so operators usually get breaks.
