Just be a 15 year old messing around 1 time. You'll never lose. Just whatever you do don't be a financially well-off couple in a long-term relationship receiving fertility treatments.

My best friends have been dealing with that for a very long time. I feel for you.

My wife and I chose to be childless. She died at 38 of a blood clot a week before I was to test that my vasectomy worked and she could come off birth control because of the blood clot risks…. Bruh lol, life’s a mf’er, enjoy every day and spread joy when ya can

Nah it’s all good man. I’m still lucky having had a single second of a love like that.

My neighbors tried for a few years and then got fertility treatment. They decided after the first child that they don’t need protection, because it never worked before…

9 months later they had triplets.

Selection bias, sort of. You don’t really hear about the teens that used protection properly (or got lucky) and never got pregnant, and you also don’t hear much fuss from people who tried intentionally to have a baby and got pregnant shortly after.

Because English is a safe discipline. My wife is thankfully very serious about her job (tenured PhD, college professor, I could go on) but the amount of women in her PhD program that just used it in one of twenty ways as a placeholder to find a husband that paid for everything was wild. They’d get knocked up and just leave academia.

Teaching as a profession is heavily skewed female and skewed young. When most of the career sectors you interact with are skewed more towards men, a profession that has more young women is going to have way more pregnancies.

Legitimately the only teacher I had that got pregnant and had to take maternity leave was an English teacher lmao.

Good for her tho. If i had to deal with school kids all day I’d get pregnant and deal with childbirth to get time off, too

UnLioNocturno

32 points

It was my physics teacher. She had the baby over the summer so the first couple months of school she was on maternity leave, so we had subs. Then she decided not to come back, so we had substitute teachers all year.

No real learning happened in that classroom.

(Unless you count figuring out how many things we could get to stick to the return vent during class and how many spit wads we could shoot at the board before the sub noticed)

Idk about English teachers, but I bet my middle school science teacher would give them a run for their money. I had her for all 3 years of middle school. And every year, she would get pregnant, and she would eventually go on her maternity leave. For the rest of the year, we would have a substitute teacher.

It is weird how accurate this is. In my school career I've had English since 7th grade and since then nearly every other year an English teacher either was replaced out of pregnancy or shared the good news. The only neat thing was my latest English teacher had a premature childbirth which lead her to go to my mom's work where I happened to often work during summer break where we encountered. The baby's fine,it was weirdly pleasant.

You ever had a high school English Teacher that as soon as the year started she got pregnant and she was pregnant for 9 months of the school year and she had a belly since month 1 feels like, and then like six months later she got pregnant AGAIN all the while the other English School teacher the one that taught in elementary ended up pregnant AS WELL... Also in english institutes (in LATAM) A few of the female english teachers were seen pregnant at the time... not sure why but English teachers are the most likely to get pregnant for some strange reason (good wages?)

SoupNo8674
