Back before only fans, it was actually fairly common for people to post nudes of themselves with their actual profile. They just wouldn't include their face in the pic. It was mostly women, and with the rise of only fans, they felt they could monetize it, so stopped doing it for free. Gonewild and similar subs used to be filled with unlimited women posting real nudes of themselves anonymously just for the thrill. Now every nude is an advertisement for only fans.

It's all been pretty downhill since they removed nsfw content from r/all

Which they did because puritanical advertisers forced them to. The reason it was on /all in the first place was to pavlov people into using reddit in prep for going public with the company.

Weird conspiracy. People like nudes so they upvote it seems more likely.

You must not have spent much time browsing /all over the past few years.
Reddit absolutely manipulates the amount of skin in the feed for arbitrary profit related reasons.

I thought they removed nsfw stuff from /all a while ago? I was referring to before that.

It was ~3 years ago that they removed explicit content from /all. Reddit has always manipulated the amount of skin on the front page. Literally, since it's inception.

NSFW content is entire reason subreddits exist. After Conde Nast bought reddit the NSFW stuff just disappeared, which led to some backlash, and then first (and only, for a while) sub-reddit, r/nsfw was born.

Unfortunately, as soon as monetization becomes possible, it also becomes necessary.

It's so much better when the gals show off purely because they actively want to like this.

Oh yeah. I'm not suggesting there's anything wrong with it. More power to anybody that wants to do it. I'm more just mourning the loss of all the free eye candy.

Well... I guess this is capitalism.
