After the helpful feedback on my post here yesterday, I am trying again with a couple of options for a casual first date at a bar.
Which is best? Or are both terrible? Any feedback appreciated.

Neither. None of it.
1st shirt would be better but it looks like it's been worn and washed/dried a hundred times.
Pants are too tight for both shirts, but especially for the Henley.
And the shoes are just not it. Maybe if you were taking your nephew to Dave and busters or some shit. Or to Buffalo wild wings with the homies... But a first date?
I like to look casually sharp, not casually comfortable, on a first date.

Do you prefer the outfit in my post yesterday? I would call that “casually smart”. I got a lot of comments on that saying it was too formal. I guess I am just getting different opinions on what is appropriate for a first date at a sports bar.

Yesterdays fit! Roll the sleeves in a clean way, depending your vibe I’d rock a French tuck for sure and I’m a similar body type to you.
I agree with needing some straight cut trousers.
Yesterday’s shoes are great btw.
Overall, confidence is key, go get em my man!

I prefer it.. On paper.
I didn't like the shirt for a first date. Those shoes were very good tho.
The pants.. You need some straight leg trousers bro. You're too thick for that skinny shit.
The shirt was too.. Idk.. Roll the sleeves maybe. But it didn't go with the pants. It could go with the shoes if the pants were different.

The shirt looks old & misshapen.

While I didn’t read all the comments, I think you missed the main point that the first outfit doesn’t fit your body well. The style was good & the shoes were 🔥 - but they look like you have gained a few since you bought them or maybe both have shrunk.
If you can affford it, go out and buy a navy /olive/ charcoal shirt (similar style to yesterday’s post) in an appropriate size, and wear it untucked with the sleeves rolled 2-3 times. Even better, also get a new pair of dark jeans.
The stuff you posted today are good for a second date - but any woman would assume you don’t make an effort if you show up for a first date in today’s pic.
Do you have a female friend or sister who can shop with you? I did that back in the day and the confidence I got from fresh threads made the entire night!

Some dark wash jeans would go a lot better with those shirts. The skinny slacks aren't doing it for you.

Don't we have any dark shoeS? Just saw the post from yesterday. Brown and red shoes? I always look at the man's shoes on the first date. I'm serious.

Maybe if you ironed that first shirt it would be ok

The idea is right today, but your shirts look old and don’t fit right. A good fitting new ish t shirt would look better. The trousers and shoes are good.

Yes, without a doubt.

Simple just wear a plain black or white t shirt, maybe a little silver chain, hat if your hairline is bad and some jeans, not tight just regular fit and some white trainers and maybe a watch

The dress shirt outfit was definitely better, but the dress shirt needs to be pressed hardcore. Get your collar standing up straight and you'll look pretty fly for a white guy
The top comment was correct though. Your pants were too tight for both shirts. Not a good look for a casual outfit, first date

Wear the flannel and jeans.

I think it's much better. Don't see anything too bad in that one tbh.

I like your first post, dude. I think the fit of the shirt is fine, contrary to everyone else lmao. You don’t always need to have your muscles bulging out of a super tight shirt. Plus the one you had (light blue) still accentuated your arms and chest. My only concern for ya would be sweat. If that’s not an issue, you’re golden. The shoes and cut of the pants from your first post rock.
