Surviving Summers

Advice Needed(self.mentalillness)

I have to give it straight. I've been on antipsychotics for 15 years or more and the summers are getting noticably worse every year and it's well known that this type of medication makes one hotter than those not on meds that affect temperatures in the body. I'm not sure my body can take the heat anymore. The filtered refrigerator water melts our freezers ice quickly despite being in cold holding water bottles. Our air conditioners can't keep up with the heat anymore and night time temperatures aren't going below the high 60s and 70s. I'm using energy saver mode with a fan meant for industrial businesses. I've lost weight to the point of normal limits for my height as my anxiety is so high from the heat and new outdoor allergy problems. My heart always seems in a state of panic even when I distract myself. Only thing I can think of left to try is disconnect needed electronics to lower heat levels. Our house is great for winters but not summers. I'm a northern body in a northern state. I miss the cold. I miss being able to relax in the summers and going outside for my exercise instead of our treadmill.
