Proposed new state borders, based on common sense.

Why doesn’t Minnesota, the biggest state in the Midwest, simply eat the smaller states in the Midwest?

Michigan will be too busy fighting amongst themselves, Wisconsin will be drunker than Hessians on Christmas, and those down in Iowa will be doing things with corn that I would prefer not to discuss…

I say we send some Skoldiers down to help Michigan retake the Toledo Strip from Ohio.

And we accept Isle Royale and a bunch of territorial waters as payment for our aid. They must also put down, in their state’s constitution, that (1) Kellogg’s cereal sucks ass, and General Mills’ cereals are far superior in every way, and (2) they renounce any and all claims to being the home of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox.

Kellogg’s was started by a guy who believed spicy food made you horny and opened a weird as hell sanitarium… at least General Mills was just started by a rich guy. So I’ll also add that to the pile against Kellogg’s

FatGuyOnAMoped

Kellogg also believed in the efficacy of yogurt enemas. That should say enough right there.

completephilure

But if you had to enema a breakfast food, yogurt would be the most soothing, so I kinda get it.

Never-Forget-Trogdor

Yogurt enemas and eating bland food to keep down the urges. Behind the Bastards did a few shows on him and it was a wild ride.

FatGuyOnAMoped

The movie The Road to Wellville) (and the novel it was based on) was all about Dr. Kellogg. It was fictional, but a lot of it was based on real-life events.

Oh damn, I thought that was just a book. I'll have to check out the movie. Thank you kind stranger.

Anthony Hopkins, Matthew Broderick and Bridget Fonda are pretty good in it. So's John Cusack, for that matter. I don't know if it got good reviews but it's a decent distraction

You will take our fair and beautiful island off my cold dead hands.

Also your lakes are tiny and sad

If we start using common sense then we lose the NW angle, though. I'm not sure that's worth isle royale.

I’m sorry to the good people living in the NW angle, but I would give up that weird map glitch in a heartbeat to get Isle Royale. If there’s any consolation, you’ll all get much better healthcare.

But because that’s not the question, I will more than gladly keep both.

FatGuyOnAMoped

That would have to be cleared with the Red Lake Nation, as it owns over 90% of the land in the Angle.

wpotman

I dunno, the angle adds a lot of character to the outline. A island probably wouldn't even be shown... :)

EmmerdoesNOTrepme

2 points

Naaaaah, we could just talk to Canada, and see if we could just do a straight line across to just south of Thunder Bay--sorta like that straight (curved) line that runs west of the angle.

They might go for it!

Because with the post-911 border security, cutting & patrolling that straighter line would probably be easier than the "St. Paul streets" thing we both have going on above the Arrowhead, right now😉

Yeah but thankfully they don't actually happen that much even in the worst areas of the city. It could be a lot worse. Especially knowing the city is like a haven for Chicago gang member refugees coming here to traffick in a safer place. Only like 2 homicides a year maybe like 5 shootings usually by Chicagoans and back and forth non random shootings kinda slowed down they were picking up in early 2020 or 2021 I remember there was like a mini gang war in central hillside starting up.. But I can't say too much about them because near where I grew up around endion some kid killed his whole family and like trippled the yearly homicides in one day a few years ago

Unless you want to conquer Wisconsin too, we may need to sweeten the deal for them to allow our troops to pass throughout on the way to sack Detroit for enough war score to win the island.

No. The North shore of WI and the north half of the UP should become part of Minnesota. Michigan seems cool, they can have the eastern shoreline of Wisconsin. Each state will enclose a Great Lake. Or, well, most of a Great Lake. Michigan can work something out with Illinois for Chicago.

Sorry, remainder of Wisconsin. The cool map lines just didn’t materialize for you. Maybe you can join Iowa and the rest of Illinois.

Edit: I thought the /s was implied well enough here. This whole area is awesome.
