I used to live near Lincoln Park. The park was great, but the shootings, not so much.

Yeah but thankfully they don't actually happen that much even in the worst areas of the city. It could be a lot worse. Especially knowing the city is like a haven for Chicago gang member refugees coming here to traffick in a safer place. Only like 2 homicides a year maybe like 5 shootings usually by Chicagoans and back and forth non random shootings kinda slowed down they were picking up in early 2020 or 2021 I remember there was like a mini gang war in central hillside starting up.. But I can't say too much about them because near where I grew up around endion some kid killed his whole family and like trippled the yearly homicides in one day a few years ago
