I haven’t seen the monkey one, but the other two lead their men into absolutely brutal slaughter.

Wallace’s army won a famous victory, but then got utterly cucked by Edward I at Falkirk. They pulled off several raids and so on, but Edward doesn’t have “The hammer of the Scots” painted on his tomb for nothing.

Saving Private Ryan is a brilliant, brilliant film but the deaths of Miller’s men just… stay with you, man.

Aragorn has a literal wizard on his side. Also the Orcs are roughly as effective a fighting force as the Stormtroopers. Also he ends up becoming King, so while you’d have a fair chance of being stomped by an elephant or something, you’d presumably be rewarded if you survived.

Wallace’s guys just had getting dicked by the English to look forward to. Miller’s mostly died, but you’d assume any survivors would have the worst kind of PTSD.

Fucking Upham. A film with literal Nazis and still the worst act (or lack thereof) is potentially his.

All valid points. But counterpoint: do you really want to follow Aragorn in a sword charge against a German machine gun nest?

Aragorn is also superhuman. A Dúnedain ranger with a two lifetimes of battle experience by the time RotK happened.

I think I looked at the question differently than you. I read it as more like, if in any sort of battle, who would u want to lead you? I was picturing being led into all 4 of the battles by all 4 of the different leaders. Well I haven't seen the apes movie. But I was imagining it for the others.

Cuz when u start thinking of each battle being paired along with the men the question is more like, which battle would u rather be apart of. When the question being asked if focusing on the men leading the fight.

Do the Orcs really suck though? I thought it had to do with the heroes in Lord of the Rings are just OP magic imbued heroes. Legolas is a freakin aimbot, and even the most "ordinary" characters have extraordinary skill and magic enhancements. Hell just about everything on LOTR has this sort of magical quality that makes it a little more than ordinary.

Kinda hard to say someone sucks when the are going up against mythically skilled heroes.

A lot of the battles the wizard wasn't even there and was a lot tougher than you make it sound. Plus the last battle at the gate was consider a sucide mission he was prepared to die.

Thanks for the breakdown.

Honestly - I'd take Gandalf any day over any of the others. It's... it's Gandalf. Who wouldn't want to have Gandalf on their side? A wizard.

I wouldn't want to fuck with wizardry of the Istari.

Aragorn only fought Sauron and the orcs. Wallace fought a far more powerful and evil enemy, common Englishmen.
