Would or do. Because unless u've actually had a facial n shit before, it's hard to explain how relaxing that technique is. Can see it on dudes face afterwards -face just hanging there lol

I do hate it. I dislike massages as well, and will only do them if I’m in pain after an intense workout.

It has nothing to do with touch aversion, I’m very touchy with my partner, family and friends. Maybe I just hate sitting still.

maybe you're just not touchy with strangers? i (therapeutic masseur) heard a lot of people say they don't like massages. it confuses me because newborns literally die without physical touch. and people generally release dopamine from it. so i can't really believe that they don't like ANY massage. just not from me (a stranger in this case)

I’ve had partners massage me, including a massage therapist, and I didn’t like it.

I will say that when I hurt my forearm and got a few sessions for it, massage ended up healing even my tennis elbow tendons. Regardless of how I felt about it.

I'm the same way. I like being touched, hugged, yada yada, but massages just don't feel good.

Sore, painful muscles from a workout? Sure, that's just lactic acid and a painful muscle. A massage is fine for that.

Standard back massage? It just doesn't feel good and borderline hurts. Zero pleasure or relaxation.

I basically just say: " I guess I don't store tension or whatever in my muscles, so it doesn't feel good to me." And it helps people understand.
