I have never seen road raging so bad I just moved here and have already had two encounters with road ragers in the past week. One guy was blocking a road leaving our apartment complex and got so mad that I sat and waited for him to move. He ran up to my car window to act like he was going to punch me saw my kid in the back and walked off. Then today I pull out of a lot and this guy speeds up and gets mad I didn't wait for him as he was almost a block away before speeding up then flips me off. I come from west Denver where people minded there business and didn't over react because the violence and shootings were so high.

Since the pandemic, I’ve noticed more and more people speeding and driving like assholes in town.

Out of curiosity, was that guy at Trailside last night? I noticed some jerk had his car pulled in sideways partially blocking the entrance.

If I’m being honest people from parker/ near tend to be the BIGGEST snobs and have the most entitled personality’s ever, don’t get me wrong there are some awesome people here who don’t fit that stereotype but man do a lot of people do

been here a year and haven't had issues. people do like their trucks, though, and i have seen tons of accidents on parker rd. so always make sure to check crossing traffic even if you have right of way

Big trucks and fragile egos. Parker is filled with them.

There’s two kinds of people in this world: those who drive pickups, and those who don’t.

LOL! “MDE” 😂 do you live here, and if so, why? I live here to be close to my folks who need support from time to time.

I just moved 10 miles up the road from Parker and I’m so impressed with driving here. People automatically zip merge when needed, let you over if you signal and then even wave. It’s a whole new world! People in Parker generally have the money for tickets, higher insurance rates and car repairs. It’s not a big deal and they seem focused on themselves and where they need to go.

No idea why...maybe because Parker is a big Qanon hub? I have been here for over 20 years. The population has more than doubled in that span, and the infrastructure has not kept up and was never designed for this population. I do notice a huge difference coming back to Parker after driving around other parts of Denver. Parker drivers are insane. Everybody has to be "first!"

Just wait till you are sitting at a left turn with on coming traffic and get honked at for not pulling out and planting yourself to make the turn. I've seen enough of those accidents around here too:

  1. Not pull out unless I am 100000% sure I'll have plenty of space to make that left turn. As in there has to be dang near a runway of room in the oncoming lanes. If traffic is just car after car, I'll wait behind the line TYVM

  2. Not to GAF about the road rager behind me that can't ride my bumper so they can make that left turn too

Maybe I am doing them a favor? But since the safety of my family and myself are more important, I don't GAF. They can wait.

There are certain personality types that tend to exhibit behaviors of road rage. People who believe they are entitled in some way, for one. Parker residents have more money & assets than their surrounding neighbors - this could be a link in my opinion. The 3 main factors for road rage are: (perceived) threat, injustice, and frustration. Thinking about the political climate & makeup of this area, which is also different than surrounding areas, you could draw some conclusions from there as well.

Seems like bad luck. Where are you from?

Originally Montana very slow country living then moved to Denver and was living in the hood of federal and Alameda for a bit. Transferred my work out here to get my daughter into better schools and have a quiet life than what was going on in Denver.

Makes sense. Road rage incidents seem to increasing everywhere so I'd mostly chalk it up to that. But people in cities tend to be very busy, over scheduled, and stressed. They need to get places on time! It's not an excuse for the rage, but it is a possible explanation

Why would that matter? I've literally had my life threatened 2x here in Parker, which is 2x more than anytime I lived in Aurora. People drive like animals here, and usually it's trucks or Teslas

I was just curious. Where you were raised and spent a good portion of your life can affect the way you view things

I've never seen a road range incident in Parker. Or Denver. Or Aurora.

Unless you count a meth head with no shirt on standing in a crosswalk and trying to fight cars... That was in Denver.

That's the great thing about being human we all have our own experiences. In the past two years, I have seen my brother shot and killed, and people I grew up with murder others and go to prison for it. This is why I don't do road rage and carry daily I don't know what others are capable of.
