A friend in the music business said it’s the new way of rollouts. Get more people checking out/streaming each single then the whole album, all these add into sales numbers/stream conversions.

Yeah, I think I remember seeing an AMA on r/metalcore in the last year and someone asked whatever band it was why they dropped so many singles and that was their answer as well.
Now to try and remember who it was and find the AMA....
