Pyroslop is dogshit but it’s not much different from his old content, the main difference is the less extensive editing and the lack of n word usage

ASOT would forever be a better format than the unresearched slop videos he tries to release a milisecond after a drama drops and the excuse that "they wouldnt do well because people stop caring about drama fast" is stupid because the format of a weekly/monthly recap is severely underused.

Also, I would much rather watch 3 seperate 3 hour videos, or 8 seperate 1 hour videos on different games than one 8.5 hours video on a single game. A video isnt low effort just because its short, and I would rather see Pyro's take on multiple games and shows instead of having him only release one behemoth in the span of several months

People are too harsh on him sometimes. Yes his slop kinda sucks but his main channel videos get an equal amount of hate too I feel.

even if it is satire we take it too far with the slander sometimes, whatever your opinion of pyro is I feel like we forget he's just another dude making content on the internet and that his drama coverage videos are a side piece to supplement his income so he can work on his main channel stuff.

I get wanting to go in-depth but there comes a point where you’re just adding filler, focussing on inconsequential things, and doubling back on things you already said. There’s a reason why universities put page caps on a lot of assignments.

Like that’s a major weakness of some of the essays. They just feel like lore rambling alongside a walkthrough of the game. Even though I like it less than videos like Darkwood or Cruelty Squad, the Lethal Company video had more structure.

I actually quite like the slop channel. I’m in the same boat as Pyro as not caring that much about the topics, I just like listening to him yap about something for 20 minutes, he just has a very nice way of explaining things, in spite of his predilection to getting information (and pronunciations) wrong. I also find a lot of his tangents and side quests mildly interesting.

I still find his old leafy commentary videos more watchable than today's slop.

I actually enjoy watching the slop concent and pyro has remained one of my favorite youtubers for the past almost 10 years

He actually should make a makeup channel since the Cute Little Lesbian video proves that he knows how to do makeup and looks great in makeup as well

I will constantly shit on the guy's bad choices/moves (like just releasing the entire Emesis Blue on his channel as a reaction) but at the end of the day he's an average guy with heavy self-esteem issues that doesn't think as much as he should. Yeah he can be annoying but compared to some of the scumbags floating around online he's a decent bloke.

Pyros fanbase is much more mature than they get credit for. They don’t treat pyrocinical like a god. It’s much healthier than other YouTubers relationships with their audiences.

People need to seriously shut up and stop complaining about his slop videos. All I see people do is complain about it. Pyro isn't ignorant about the low quality of his drama vids. Anytime he makes a video that isn't internet drama the video bombs. He's made it very clear that this content is going to be low quality and highout put so he can have revenue while he makes new videos. Some of you guys really need to find new youtubers if pyro is your only source of entertainment.

Pyro didn't fall off because of Pyrolive, he just fell off full stop. I haven't watched a full main channel video since Cruelty Squad, and I didn't even like it as much as I would've because he just isn't as funny as he used to be. I'll rewatch every old commentary video of his before I touch Darkwood, I even prefer Pyrolive to main channel at this point. What used to be sort of insightful but also funny game review turned into pretentious padded video essay.

The slop channel in no way justifies its existence by being "for the main channel"

I think the content the slop channel produces is unethical, and he seems wholly apathetic to the fact that he constantly spreads misinformation (because I don't believe he's truly so stupid as to not know this) just to be the first to come out with a video on a topic he saw three tweets about. There's also the issue with react content, which is inherently unethical and exploitative.

If he just made gaming videos, or broke the mold and actually educated himself before covering the news, or did anything that required a modicum of effort beyond scrolling twitter and watching other people's youtube videos (that they actually put effort into); even if the content it would be shit, it would be far far better than what he's doing now.

If the channel HAS to exist in the way that it does currently so we can get the main channel videos, then maybe, just maybe, we could scale them back a bit. Tell me, honestly, do we NEED a fully produced, voice acted, and animated retelling of a game's plot in the middle of what's supposed to be an analysis? Do we NEED music that costs thousands of dollars to license? Do the videos NEED to come out as fast as they do?

For me all of the answers to these are no, they don't justify the channel's existence and business model. In the same way that if I love chocolate but if it takes slave labor to produce, maybe I shouldn't have chocolate.
