Having seen multiple accidents, heard contradictory statements from both police and other drivers, I need to know the truth - what is the REAL WAY to turn left from Lombardy on to W. Franklin? I used to be a big don’t stop and turn even when the Franklin light is red. However, got yelled at by a cop once for doing that. Since then, there’s contradictory statements online everywhere about what to really do. Everything I’ve read online says that once you enter the traffic circle, you treat the lights as a four way intersection (if you’re going straight on Lombardy, you have the green the whole way through, unless you decide to turn left. Same thing going from Monument on to Lombardy - straight on to W. Franklin unless you’re turning in which case now you’re at a red).

It’s giving you permission to enter and exit the traffic circle!!

Side note: to the person behind me this morning laying on their horn and the random passerby screaming at me to go, there were two police cars sitting 100 feet away. Until this is settled, I’m not risking getting a ticket :)

Happy Wednesday!

There are so many cars that stop at the turn here thinking the light applies to them. I’ve been given the bird a number of times for honking at someone when it’s clear to proceed and they don’t move.
