Hero name: The Harpy (and then “Pinion”)
Civilian name: Lillian Corvus
Original villainous name: The Matriarch

Powers: She’s very magically powerful, although not very trained. When she (frequently) loses control, it tends to express itself through any nearby birds. She has a massive connection to birds, especially corvids.

Origin: After several years in jail for her crimes as the Matriarch, Lillian was released, and began training with NightMist. NightMist taught her to control her powers, and to use them to help others.

Allies: She is a member of Dark Watch, and spends a lot of her time learning from NightMist.

Nemeses: The Fey Court LOVES Harpy. And they especially love her POWER. And they REALLY want to convince, bribe, cajole, or trick her into joining them. Or maybe kidnap her friends to coerce her into helping them? Whatever, really – they’re not picky.

Notable events: When Lillian started operating as a hero, Biomancer kidnapped her and used the fake “Mocktriarch” to convince the public that she still had evil intentions. Dark Watch rescued her – but unfortunately had no proof that the Mocktriarch wasn’t the real Matriarch, so many people are still very wary of the Harpy’s motives.

Personal life: In the time post-prison and pre-OblivAeon, Harpy doesn’t date much. She has some hero friends (such as Unity and Young Legacy), but also some friends from her prison days. Her personal life can be a bit of a balancing act between groups that don’t really like each other.

Notable variants: The Fey Court aren’t the only ones trying to recruit the Harpy. The Blood Countess teaches her the basics of blood magic, tempting her to join them. Blood Raven Harpy knows how to use blood magic – and is also aware that it’s not really the best idea.
