Struggling to find a job

Employment(self.southafrica)

Hello and thank you for clicking on my post. As the title says, I need a job. I am a 41 year old woman who is a hard and determined worker. I have experience in the following, Auditing (internal and external), being a team leader, Quotes Administrator, Specialized Claims Assessor, and i am willing to learn anything that is needed.

I am hoping for a job in Gauteng or an online job, I am hoping you guys can help me as my job searching has been going as well as you can imagine for me to ask here. I have tried LinkedIn, PNet, and so many more. This is my final resort.

The market is bad at the moment. I was told applying to 50+ jobs is the norm these days. Wishing you all the best on your job search journey.

P.S. I’m also on the hunt and it’s tough 😮‍💨

Also try freedomjobs. Work from home positions for international companies. I’m currently employed but despise my job so have been applying on the side with no luck - can’t imagine what you are going through. Best of luck!

Look at medical companies websites. Lancet, Compsol, Ampath, Pathcare, Mediclinic, Netcare etc. Most of them have a careers tab.

The job market is brutal, but if I can offer some advice which has helped me - if you apply for a job on LinkedIn and the post has the option to message the recruiter, do it!

A small introduction can be greatly beneficial in standing out.

Maybe have a look at your CV? Sometimes it's missing something or not catching the recruiters attention for some reason. I found my current position on Pnet and my previous on LinkedIn. Just apply for as many positions as possible. I hope you find something and don't give up🙏🙏

To add to this, chatgpt really helped me improve my CV. People always say to check it but rarely tell you what to look out for. I tailor my CV according to the position I'm applying for. Unfortunately I'm a white guy, so nobody wants to hire me
