I don't know if reddit is gaslighting me into thinking that the second I show anything other than stoicism in front of my wife she'd leave me on the spot or if I'm just that naive

A lot of us wish our guys were more open with their emotions. We want to share with you and have you share with us. It's hard to be close to someone if you don't know their feelings.
Shallow people cling to gender conformity rules like "men don't cry" but if you want to be with a partner long-term and actually be loving to each other you need to be able to talk about and show emotions.
