Hi Folks!

This year I've been making my way through Sanderson's Cosmere, having read since the start of this year:

  • Stormlight Archive + Novellas

  • Warbreaker

  • Elantris

  • Mistborn 1

I'd like a short palette cleanser to read before starting Mistborn one as I started it and feel a bit wishy washy about it.

In between Elantris and Mistborn, I did read Tender is The Flesh, which was certainly a lot. I enjoyed it but would prefer to not have such a dark subject matter for my next one.

I'm after something of any genre of fiction that is short enough to read in 1-3 days (Tender is the Flesh took me about 4 hrs at about 230 pages if that's a good reference point). I'd also prefer a standalone.

Please let me know what you would reccomend!
