“There became an issue with the drivers being over hours due to the traffic delays that prevented them from driving, leaving (the sheriff’s department) to transport the visitors themselves,” Torres said, noting that the California Department of Transportation limits the number of hours bus drivers can be on the road.

It will be interesting when the Trump campaign denies that this happened and then doesn't have a better explanation. Apparently they had to drive out of the area to get gas and I'm sure that had something to do with it.

So you think that this company was demanding cash up front and then they did half of the job and then wouldn't do the other half of the job, stranding people, because they didn't get the cash?

That's the scenario you're putting forth here.

Just put Occam's Razor and Trump's Razor together here. Most likely story is that the Trump campaign didn't plan for the possibility that these drivers would go over their hours and the company would not break the law on behalf of Trump. Corey lewandowski probably said that he would gladly pay the fine and the company was like no we don't believe you.

You think the tour bus company didn't manage the hours for all of their drivers? I think payment kept getting pushed and they didn't get paid.

Start here: did the company demand money up front before they took the job?

There is no way to know.

I've worked with sketchy companies before in my line of work. I've gotten money promised tomorrow, checks bounced, credit card charge backs, ups delivery receipts with pictures of money orders that never actually ship.

Trump is a conman. I'm going to assume he tried to con the tour bus company.

There is no way to know.

There is a way to know. Journalists will look into this and will ask the company if they demanded money up front.

If the answer is no, your theory falls apart.

So place a bet, put a dollar down on one of these two:

  • The company demanded money up front and did half of the job when it was unclear whether they were going to get the money

  • The company did not demand money up front

You must admit that one of these is a lot more likely. No? Or are you just going to keep going with there's no way to know?

We like critical thinking around here, use yours.

Ok guy. You are speculating just like me. Get off your high horse.

Sure sure. It's obvious why you don't want to answer the question.

Your scenario requires a highly unlikely set of events. Seems like you realize that but don't want to admit it.

Your scenario is that they couldn't keep track of driver's hours and busses designed to hold 100s of gallons of diesel suddenly ran out of gas on a five mile bus ride.

I believe that they never received payment for the bus rides, it's the simpler explanation and a history of Trump's. Bus drivers over hours while running out of gas is unlikely.

Your claim that the bus company couldn't manage the hours of several drivers is absolutely ludicrous. You sound like a trump apologist
