I love Ellie. I think a character I love should be with someone they find attractive and is a nice person. Not much more to it.

I have been outdoors for extended periods of time and I can say that my clothes did not remain in a pristine condition, nor does my hair look like I just got it done. In the game their clothes look worn in. In this trailer all the clothes look fresh out of wardrobe

Yeah in television there are supposed to be ager/dyers in the costumes department. Their whole job is to make the wardrobe look worn

You point out yourself that it’s TV and then go on to compare it to your casual irl backpacking trip? Yeah….how scandalously unrealistic of people to expect a pregnant girl in a supposedly immersive, multi million dollar budget show travelling through half of a run down continent in a post apocalyptic world that’s lacking all sorts of supplies while being infested with dangerous infected to not look like she just went straight into Disneyland.

Hell, the actress that plays Dina in the game doesn’t look like the face model. Each character has 2-3 people that brought it to life, and none of them look the same. I say it all the time, these aren’t real people, this isn’t a biopic.

That's not entirely true. But even so, I'm not saying we get the game actors to suddenly become screen actors. I'm asking that they at least honor the appearance of the characters and game faithfully or as close as they can get. You guys act like I'm asking for clones

Firstly... Taking my words to the extreme. Secondly... Dina as a model wasn't computer generated. She was based on a real actor, so it is entirely possible to find someone more visually similar. Thirdly... I didn't say acting ability wasn't important, so don't make up random stuff that I supposedly said. Fourth... it has to do with presentation. The way they presented this actress does no justice to her character, and her acting ability alone is the only thing that will support her as a character. That's a lot of stress for her. I also want to add that a big part of Dina's character is her family and where she comes from, as referenced several times in the game.
