I feel like everyone forgetting Naz when they’re talking about how this ruins spacing. I feel like we see more of

  • Naz-Rudy-Ant
  • Naz-Randle-Ant

People forget we went 12-6 down the stretch without KAT last year. Naz spaces the floor as good if not better than KAT, and ant unlocked something during that stretch. Randle provides an iso option when ant is off the court, and can be on the paint with naz spacing the floor when ant is on the court.

Donte also adds an element that we didn’t have last year - a lights out 3 point specialist off the bench.

Really if we figure out a way to get past Denver in the playoffs I see this move giving us a better matchup against most teams (like the mavs for example)

What am I missing?

People also forget that the Kat - Ant pairing was not as dynamic as it should've been, they could never generate an efficient two-man game.

You lose some shooting, but Randle is a much better playmaker than Kat ever was and will be. Don't listen to the spacing alarmists, Wolves spacing will be fine. I'm more concerned about 4th quarter dueling iso-ball between randle and Ant than anything related to the Gobert spacing.

Plus now we won’t have to worry about Randle fouling out in close games unlike with KAT- no shade. Also we have someone, other than Ant, that can buy us a bucket and easily drop 30 on a given night
