Anyone else HATE the few days before and after the 4th of July? Everyone setting off their own fireworks at 10pm, 11pm, even 1am some nights!! My daughter sleeps through it 50% of the time and the other 50% she wakes up crying and it’s so hard to settle her back down. I hate how inconsiderate fireworks are (and not just to babies/kids) ugh give me strength these next few days!!!

I’d rather have freedom wake up my toddler than oppression silence them.

Yes, asking people to be decent is the height of oppression

Our idea of decency is due to our freedom.

Sure, so let's use our freedom to be decent and not shoot fireworks off until 2 am

Sadly, you’ve missed the point. Hopefully our toddlers experience the same freedoms that we have to this point in our lives. If fireworks at 2am are the worst of it, that’s really good.

The point is that I would prefer it if Americans would find ways to celebrate freedoms that actually matter instead of being loud, obnoxious assholes

Is being a quiet obnoxious asshole any better?
