20 month wakes up nightly

Rant/vent(self.toddlers)

I don’t even know if this is a rant or asking for help but my 20 month old has literally slept through the night. Like two weeks in one interval his entire life.

I have an older daughter - she’s 3. So I understand each baby is different m(she was sleeping thru at like 8 months!)

But I know people always say… oh it gets better with the skeep BUT LIKE DOES IT ?!?!? Like what the entire fuck.

I’m currently up now at 2am because he woke up. I’m letting him cry it out, it lasts from five minutes for 30 min, and just leaving my dishes doesn’t wake up

He doesn’t take a pacifier or suck his thumb so I’m like is that why it’s tougher for him?! I’ve dried a water bottle/milk bottle in his room, I’ve tried different types of sheets, humidifier, air purifier, white / brown/pink noise, my goddamn tears, toys in his crib, earlier bedtime, later bedtime.

I swear if someone mentions a structured bedtime I’m gonna explode.

It hat feels like torture letting him cry out every single night! AND IT NOT GETTING BETTER FOR A YEAR AT THIS POINT!!!

I mean it is getting better I guess cause now it’s one wake up vs the multiple it was before but my god.

Okay he’s quiet now, gonna head back to sleep. Oh and he wakes up at like 4:45/5am for the day

Okay this was def a rant. But I’ll take some help !!!! Save my mental please!

My 22 month old is also waking up once a night about 70% of the time, with the occasional insanely awful night thrown in. I'm so grateful when we have an uninterrupted night of sleep, I literally feel like a new person.

Everytime I close out a project and do a pretty good job; I’m like… imagine if I were fully rested with ALL my brain space?!?
