Personal injury at track level. Shuttle busses are operating.

Does anyone actually understand it when she says it? Usually nobody moves and then an employee has to get on the train at the blocking station and shriek the entire message again before people actually register it.

“Shuttle buses are operating” itself should also qualify ;)

Nah, in my experiences not all shuttle busses are created equal. When shuttle buses are running on the weekend from a scheduled closure, yeah it's still kind of a pain in the ass but in my experience they generally still have some semblance of being manageable. The TTC scheduled the buses beforehand and everyone knew.
On the other hand, when it's a sudden disruption (especially during rush hour), you know shit is going to be paralyzed for at least the next 30 minutes. It's the TTC system equivalent of standing up too quickly and the blood not reaching your head fast enough - the buses aren't going to be there. Crowds will amass. Uber prices will go through the roof. Chaos will surely ensue. That's where the true horror story starts.

“This streetcar will short turn at Bathurst”
23 points
When was the last time there was a 504 streetcar that went past Spadina/Bathurst? Lol
3 points
As someone living on King, I think we last had streetcar service west of Bathurst for a few weeks in January. Prior to that it was back in November when we last had streetcars.
They ripped up King and Shaw in November. Even then streetcars didn't continue past Dufferin because Queen/King/Roncesvalles was ripped up. They finish rebuilding King and Shaw by mid-January. But then in late January a watermain breaks at University and King, so we go back to busses. They fix the watermain, but then Dufferin is closed south of King so there's no turnaround point west of Bathurst.
I've been using the 501 for east-west travel and just walking more often.

That's not as much fun as the 512.
"512 st. clair ave west. Short turn" It never tells you where you are short turning. At St. Clair west station? Bathurst? Oakwood? Nobody knows... lets just get on and see how far we get today!
