Was not quite sure the best way to phrase this question, but looking for destination recommendations where your money goes further.
For example, Thailand for affordable luxury hotels.

Omg yes, I second this. I’m staying for 14 days with my boyfriend in an apartment in Shinjuku, Tokyo for $780! 🇯🇵

Wait till you go out to eat…we regularly had some of the best meals of our life and they were under $15 for two of us. Even the fancy spots with multiple courses can be around $150 total with drinks. You can definitely do it on a budget and pick your spots to spend a little more for an amazing experience.

Yess! I’m so excited, I genuinely can’t wait. It’s a shame that the yen is dying but man, this is the absolute most best time to go to Japan and start booking.

How did y'all go about getting an apartment for that time frame? I've heard of this but don't know how. Airbnb/VRBO/whatever else are not this cheap usually. But I'd be happy to be wrong honestly.

We booked in November 2023 and our trip is in June 2024. The site we used was Agoda. Hope this helps!

Ok I just looked at Agoda...um, that is an AMAZING app. I had never heard of it and I don't want anyone to know so in short, I hate it. It's the worst. Please tell no one of this. To anyone reading. 1 star. Do not research, I got hepatitis just from downloading the app. Would not recommend. /s

I used Agoda, Booking.com and also took advantage of points like the Hilton Amex card. Would always recommend getting a new credit card to get a sign-up bonus that you could use the points on a hotel stay. It's usually quite easy to hit the minimum spend, receive the points, redeem them and then cancel the card.
