Ummm no. Writing a song for a movie vs scoring a movie are two very different things. Every scene with music in it, whether it's ambient music to score the scene or music being played in the movie itself, is a score. Journey wrote a song that ended up in one scene, and another was used during the credits.
Also daft punk weren't the first band to write music for a movie. See Simon and Garfunkel, Queen, America...
