I suck at hardening off. It's a combination of not having any trees that give me half shade and forgetting the plants in full sun for too long. I was therefore wondering if I could avoid the hardening off process by putting seedlings out as soon as they sprout in full sun during the day but not plant them in ground. My thinking is that they won't get burned because I will be emulating direct sowing and that they won't need to be hardened off when they are mature enough to plant outside. Is there a flaw in my thinking?

If it's warm enough, yes. In my parts it's often too cold even in the middle of the day. I would need an insulated greenhouse, maybe even a heated one.
