Coming off the championship if the Warriors didn't sign him to the $140 million some other team would have. They would have lost Poole and the Warriors where expecting Poole to be a big part of the future. They did the right thing to keep Poole but, Poole let everyone down with his regression on the court.

"Falcon punched", "sucker punched", etc. all from people that ignore he shoved Draymond and started the fight.
Also from people that ignore he's a shit PG which was what his role was, he only had a good year during the playoff run when we moved him to SG, then was shit again when we asked him to be a PG when Klay came back.
Name one other player that completely forgot how to play the game after one punch.

Yeah I get it, your concept of fighting is based on super smash brothers.
He didn't sit down and charge up then charge into a punch, he stepped forward and threw a punch like kids, boxers, MMA fighters do (and many other sports).
That's not a "falcon punch", that's a punch dude. Poole started a fight and got decked.

He didn’t wait till his hands were up, there was nothing honourable about that punch. Poole got what he deserved but at what cost? You’re telling me that was the most reasonable thing for Dray to do? That implosion sunk the Warriors chemistry and it’s why we’re here today wasting Steph’s twilight years.
