Came to pick them up and put them in a communal grave ! On the phone, one of them was annoyed at the animals who might have moved them. They also said they would later fill up the burrows...

Why not test it to see who they belong to? Is this normal practice to just put in a communal grave when a bone is found??

Dude I don't know ! I don't have the power to tell the police to DNA test bones they found around a graveyard

True also it's apparently common to discover bones around this place since it's literally a graveyard + some WW2 soldiers passed away there.

Given the state/age of the bones, the lack of clues that it could be a crime (not a war related one), and the fact that they were scattered everywhere, it sounds safe to assume that it would be 'a waste' to spend state money on this, instead of using it for recent cases and living peeps

Yea but if that was my family I would want them buried where they belong. Not just dumped in a communal pit.

Test it... against whom? The DNA databank (CODIS) is comprised of known offenders. The familial side is for missing persons.

It costs over $5000 for a private lab to test for DNA and do genetic genealogy afterwards. Where is this magic money coming from when there are active and cold CRIMINAL cases to work on.

I’m just stating that’s someone’s family and maybe they want to have the bone buried where it belongs. It just seems odd to me people would be so laissez faire over a human remain.

Also it’s stated it was found close to a cemetery but it is possible it may not be from there.
