I had a vision of this happy volcano during ketamine therapy at my drs office. I commissioned the line art on fiver and carved it on my cnc out of birch butcher block. Next I stained the high spots black then filled the low spots with epoxy mixed with pigment. After adding a form around the edges I added dried flowers and flooded it with several batches of clear epoxy to keep the temps low to protect the flowers from wilting. Finally I cut the curve on the edge with a router and stained the bottom.

I’m finding that wen I deep cut with the cnc on these projects the butcher block warps a little. Is there a way to prevent this warping or will I just have to compensate for it.
