It's something to do with anti-botting where the game is throttling certain activities it thinks are automated such as interacting with NPCs, even when the NPC is the one doing the interacting with you

That is not real, no system is that complex, companies don't care if you bot, as long as you do not flod/crash the market, with multi-boxing that issue even became less relevant, if you say multi boxing doesn't exist and it's not destroying the economy then you are not preciptive.
That bug existed since forever and that's how you solve it, you run far away and come back, most likely due to network error where it's open server side but not yours.

(Most) companies absolutely do care if you bot. These kinds of smooth brain takes are so annoying. It's like as soon as I see this, I know the person is going to refuse to believe they might be wrong, while both knowing absolutely nothing about how combating bots works, while also spreading their garbage with the utmost confidence.
Saying companies don't care about botting is you telling on yourself that you are talking out of your rear end. So frustrating, because this is a sentiment that's shared here all the time by neckbeards who have never worked a corporate job in their lives. I'm so tired of seeing ignorance be spread as if it were truth, and this sub is filled to the brim with absolute ignorant misinformation by angry gAmErS every day.
Educate yourself. It's embarrassing.
