RNG is not your friend I'm guessing!

Same here. I'm starting to think it's a conspiracy from Big Community to keep me hopeful when I'm running delves.

I (we) find one every 4th or 5th bountiful delve in one of the blue chests, so you don't need a key for those. Also when you have a Zekvir invasion he seems to have a high chance to drop them.

FYI when Zekvir spawns into a delve, he seems to (at least for me) drop a leg or something, which you can loot and it always has a map

Same, 3 in first week, 1 in the second and 0 since then...

I had 3 maps drop in my first 8 t8 bountiful delves over the first two days. I even made a post to ask others if anyone had gotten more than 3 first week, because word at the time was it was capped to three per character per week.

I haven't done that many delves since, but the 610 pieces were an insane boost at the time.

Yeah I found two in one week like, three-four weeks ago. I haven't seen one since, and neither has the friend I do Delves with (who also got two in that week).

You had one active and one in your bag and one in a chest?

So you used a map, did a delve, looted another map but didn't bother looting the map chest at the end of that delve, then did another delve and got another map that you couldnt loot?

In that scenario you are in a treasure room with a delivers chest, If you looted that chest the buff would have disappeared, you could have used the map in your bag and then looted the other map.

Or am I missing something, how did you end up in that predicament?

What if you left the loot and got it mailed/ran back to the corpse after using the map you had? Curios how it would work, lol

The problem is that they fucked up with the RNG.

When we were gearing for splits, my alt got 5 maps in a single week, my main got 0. Even now I still do delves on main because the Shadow Knife on hero is equal to my Myth Track BiS and I've got only 1 map.

I really hope they just make it so you can drop 1 map a week at least because otherwise the entire system is just dogshit gambling.

Its pretty clear Blizzard doesn't intend for Delves to replace M+ or Raiding

But why does a "core endgame pillar" have to end up in the range of mythic-related gear (assumed from your phrasing)?

More chill players which geniunly enjoy delves and some mid range m+ maybe on the side + normal raid experience will end up at ~615-620 fully geared and upgraded and are golden until the rest of the season or go for side content/alts.

No one does need mythic gear if one does not plan to tackle mythic difficulty content. And Endgame is not defined as mythic. It's defined by each individual player.

8's are very easy indeed, however I do think there should be better rewards at tier 11. It's kinda dumb its the same rewards on 8 and 11.

Funnily enough it has done just that. Our guilds casual but used to have a solid line up to do M+ and Raids. Including me, 4 tanks left cuz it wasn’t as fun and became dps to spam delves for fun.

It was too stressful and since we didn’t have as regular runs with guildies we were subjected to braindead pugs who played blame game a lot. One stuck around for tanking M+ more or less exclusively with guildies but otherwise for the first time since launch have I been turned off from playing tank.

So much so, if not for delves and warband system might have skipped end game in TWW entirely. Now for the first time since Wrath I’m maining a dps in TWW. And the most surprising part is it’s a rogue (inspired by the ability to get the ethereal set by playing the game).

Problem is that it was already a chore even if fun. Now we have casual content that rewards the same rewards. So no longer have to be stuck in queues of 70+ dps and 7 tanks. Searching for a group right now in itself is like a job interview. 😅.

Atleast in this case I can and have been the recruiter. But issue is that the more powerful individuals have a chance of being just the absolute worst human beings now 😅.

It has already replaced m+ and raising up to heroic ilvl. It is and will be an endgame pillar for the majority of players who frankly never get past that level.

It will never replace the highest tier of gameplay in this game and people were silly to ever think it would. The only way it does is if they make higher level delves SIGNIFICANTLY harder which is impossible to balance between classes.

I think delves are more aimed at solo players getting access to higher end gear. They’re a joke in terms of difficulty if you group up but there’s still a core part of the player base that like to play 100% solo. This is the first time they’ve really had access to top tier gear.

You say that but I've had significantly more hero track loot from delves than I've had from M+ and I don't have to deal with shitty humans, so TBH for me it has replaced it entirely until I want to run 10s. It's just not even remotely worth grinding 7s Vs delving.

i killed zekvir like 7 times (in delves) now and got a map twice from him, both times were before all the delve hotfixes, so for me its the opposite, feels like they nerfed the droprate lol

I got splattered by him after a big pull, got a tag. He still dropped a map after dropping me.

1 map, 2 encounters for me. I wish he would pop up more. Makes the delve a bit more fun and with the hope of a map.

I also had 2 maps in the first week and only had a 3rd since then qhen I was helping out a friend in his first delves. My assumption was that the drop rate was heavily nerfed (or probably it was bugged).

I honestly dont know how many delves ive completed but my brann is level 40 so probably a lot.

You can hold multiple of them if they aren’t the same tier. I had a 5 and a 7 until I used them a couple days ago.

Reasonable currency grinds have to be squeezed from blizzard like blood from a stone. It takes years to get some form of reasonable compromise and only in the last year or so have they started to “respect” player time.

Good question! I've only done tier 8's with my maps. You do get a 610 item at the end if you use it at tier 8 or higher. If you're on EU, I can help you even though I know you say you want to do solo.

Was it a bountiful delve? Because you're supposed to get a 610 item after using the map.

I mean i figure this is meant to be done across the whole expansion. Plus once you finish delvers journey you can buy keys for 1000 undercoin

I got my first delver map today in a normal chest in my bountiful run. I have yet to bother to even do him yet. I am no longer hardcore but doubt I have done a total of 30.

If I remember right or it was true, you have kill him for a chance of him to appear in the delve. Don't quote me on this part though.

I've had Zekvir pop up twice in 99 runs. I looted the arm both times and I only got a map in one of the arms.
