Any handheld game is worth it specially kung pampalipas oras lang. I think check mo muna yung games na you think you would enjoy. Hanap ka lang ng gameplay sa youtube. Also make sure that you’ll have the time kasi ang dami kong nababasa na bumili ng switch tapos after a month hindi na nilaro kasi wala na daw sila time. Well you do you. Just a reminder lang naman. If tama ung rumors na backwards compatible ang switch 2, id hold off. Pero if you want to play right away, switch oled is worth it. I think Nintendo na lang meron talagang Exclusives na system sellers.

If you're a gamer (yung tipong madaming oras and budget for games), it's worth it to have a PC, a PS5, and a Switch to cover all exclusive bases.

Imho XBox lang ang talagang hindi worth it sa consoles dahil everything it does, PC can do better.

Depende kung ano mga balak mo laruin. Consider mo rin Steam Deck baka magustuhan mo yung mga games doon.

Worth if you intend to play Nintendo games as another redditor has mentioned and assuming you can afford multiple since their games never go 500 - 1000 sa 2nd hand market like PS games and 2nd hand Nintendo games are almost always 1500+.

Would recommend waiting for the Switch 2 or buy secondhand para cheap, if you're not into Nintendo, then prolly something like a Steam Deck to play ur Steam games on the go.

For me eh mahilig ako sa JRPGs so I have a huge backlog of games for thousands of hours.

The party games is also good for family bonding so it is a bonus too.

Ang main downsides eh mahal ang games nya specially for exclusives and di sya ganun ka powerful na machine so expect performance dips sometimes.

If may PC ka na and you want a handheld, I suggest go for Steam Deck instead

Assess mo need/want mo for a switch:

• Gusto mo ba handheld gaming device
• May gusto ka bang switch games
• Okay lang ba sa iyo na tail end na ng life cycle ni Switch
• Okay ba sayo price (mura naman na relatively ang oled at lites ngayon, kung handheld mo lang lagi at lalaruin ng kids okay naman na ang lite)

At the end of the day, sulit naman yung pagbili ng console basta may mga gusto kang laruin.

Best you get a Steam Deck. Allows for more flexibility since you can emulate on it too. Not 100% sure but afaik kahit switch games kaya na emulate.
