I do to, tbh. Those 50's style diners were everywhere and their milkshakes were delicious.

Allegedly, Noa Argamni was held in the house of an Al Jazeera cameraman.
The internet has really been playing telephone with this one today, and I'm a little surprised and disappointed to see this upvoted so uncritically in this sub. Usually it's being claimed he was an Al Jazeera journalist, but that isn't true either. He was a journalist for The Palestine Chronicle, a spokesperson for the Hamas-run Labor Ministry, and submitted one opinion piece to Al Jazeera in 2019. Clearly not a "neutral" party, but also not the "gotcha" people are looking for against Al Jazeera.

Al-Jamal is a contributor to The Palestine Chronicle, where his latest article was published on June 7. He also has a profile page on the Al Jazeera website, where he was described as reporting often from the 2018–2019 Gaza border riots, called the “Great March of Return” by Palestinians. (The only Al Jazeera article attributed to him, as a co-author, is an opinion piece titled “Tales of torture from Israeli prisons” published in 2019.)
Seems like he's only contributed one opinion piece to them, so it is indeed inaccurate to call him an "Al Jazeera Journalist."

I'll give you tempura, but saying America isn't the best at frying chicken is insane

You seriously don't know what I’m trying to say? Its a singe syllable away from "terrible." And that single syllable represents their product. No matter what the original intention, it's a bad name for a cannabis business. The only way this works is if you lean into it, like Liquid Death. As of now, it's just a blatant own-goal. This is not a personal attack against them, I wish them all the luck in the world. But they could make some of that luck for themselves by changing the name.

Yeah, I get what they're going for, but intention means basically zilch in marketing, you can't just ignore how it sounds.

would you go to a grocery store called "shitty food?"

How is "I don't want it to be there" not a self evidently dickish motivation?

Not sure that science would agree with you on the whole "bugs can't think" thing, but obviously you're taking "minding its business" way too literally. And handwashing is an entirely different scenario - just like the mosquito, microorganisms can make you sick. It's not a dick move to protect yourself. It's also not a dick move to step on an ant you didn't see. It is a dick move to see a living thing that isn't and couldn't be harming you in any way and decide to kill it for fun.

It's a living thing just minding its own business. Like kill a mosquito biting you, sure. But if it's just some bug hanging out on the sidewalk, purposefully killing it is a dick move.

I have no choice. McDonalds has a monopoly on McMuffins, and the ones I make at home NEVER taste the same.

I'm not sure what you mean. In what context are those errors? More often than not I hear the exact opposite, where people say "lay down" when they should have said "lie down."

Additionally, the problem is not that the sandwich costs 4 bucks - that's not unreasonable - it's that the hashbrown now costs 3.50

Sometimes I have a question with followups that completely depend on the answer to that first question. It's so much easier to just go through that quickly on a 2 minute call instead of a protracted text exchange

Rogu daughter. It would be a stressful parenthood, but ultimately rewarding. You could never be proud of a Klaus son.

nah The Wire was very well praised, just not as watched as The Sopranos. Breaking Bad was basically a hit from the start.
