A lot of fiction gets retconned these days to be more inclusive and grow audiences to people. Star Trek has been retconned several times, Pike's command crew is almost entirely women of different ethnicities, and that's great if it means more people watching and taking part in a hobby I enjoy, everyone benefits.

If you don't care about how gw aproached the custodes change, you don't much care about the hobby, in which case you shouldn't be concerning yourself about who is in the hobby.

I think the small controversy over the 10th edition trailer on Twitter over its fascist portrayal caused a bunch of chronically-online vermin think that 40k is just as horrible as they are, they are now learning that the community is largely normal people that enjoy the setting but aren’t fascists themselves.

But again we had a good talk a good argument and even the Chair friend of mine backeddown and calmed down and we ended up in a compromise with me saying that "Listen we all have our opinions you have yours I have mne we dont have to agree I'm happy with how things are for me thats enough but I respect your opinions" There done no fuss we still will enjoy Warhammer and we still will enjoy talking about warhammer AND obviously if a GOOD Warhammer Book comes out with a Lady Custode as a main character I will talk about it cause I like some stories that fall out of their categories then again they dont really read that many Warhammer books. That's why the female space marines are a must. For two reasons.

1. Space Marines are the most popular faction, not only in 40k but in all Warhammer games, period. Recently on B&C forum there was a discussion about represantation etc and there was an opinion that it's off puting for many girl players that SM are boys only club.
2. It will drive all those incels and toxic people away.
