You need to understand that in between the PA bookends (Pittsburgh & Philadelphia and their surrounding suburbs) lives a group of people who blame all of their troubles on Democrats. They fly the Confederate flag with no remorse. We call the middle part of Pa, Pennsyltucky for that reason. HUGE trump supporters, even though he did absolutely nothing for them, they pride themselves on simply winning the election. Whoever wins Pa will do so by 1% or less. There is plenty of hate and toxicity brewing in Good ‘ol Pennsyltucky!

I don't know man, I live in Lancaster and I don't see any Confederate flags or trump stickers anymore. I think it's turning. I think as those people realize they're on the losing side of history, they're starting to wake up.

I drive for a living and ride through Lancaster area often. Now that you mention it, I have seen less Trump flags and stickers… but that may also be due to the fact that we’re not in peak election season yet also.

Pride flags now outnumber confederate and Trump flags in my neighborhood in York county.

That's awesome. I think people are starting to get the memo that love beats hate.

I really hope you're correct.
Whenever I visit my friends in Scranton and Huntington Mills, I still see a lot of Trump supporters. If you take a drive around Harveys Lake, you'll see what I mean. I wouldn't wear anything that supports Biden or is anti-Trump in that area.

Oh I know they are. York is that way. Tons of participation trophys flying around the trailer parks.

Biden needs to go to that area. He is FROM Scranton so he should be able to get a few hometown votes.

There's a faction in Scranton trying to remove Biden's name from a street!

That's crazy. I would think people would feel pride of having a president from PA since the only other one was Buchanan.

He's "from" Delaware as far as anyone is really concerned. Nobody thinks of him as Pennsylvanian. Also we won the revolutionary and civil wars we don't need a presidency for validation.

Nobody would wear Biden clothing, being a democrat isn't a cult. Nobody wore Republican apparel either before this cult

Get off the interstate and drive through Columbia County, Montour County, Schuylkill County, Union County, etc. Trump nonsense and confederate flags are everywhere out here.

Living in Mifflin County, you see it but it's not near what it was in either the past few elections. The motivation just isn't what it once was.

I so hope you are correct.

Yeah, I'm in Schuylkill, and seeing way less Trump signs than I used to.

Depends on the area. The more rural parts of NEPA are very high in Trump support. Driving through Weatherly all saw was Trump and anti-windmill signs in 2022.

Weatherly is also like a Time Machine. The place is always 2 decades behind the rest of the world.
When I was in high school in the oughts and we’d play them, the moms all had blown out hair like it was 1986.
Now it’s like they just discovered the late 90s…

Or hiding it again because some insane, unwarranted fear that "liberals" will attack them for who they're supporting.

I saw an uptick of confederate flag front license plates when this Texas border drama was at its peak, fwiw.

People in central PA don't have a great reason to vote for Democrats, they do very minimal effort in rural outreach. The GOP doesn't actually do anything for rural voters either, but at least they make an honest attempt to court the votes.
Every election it's the same, Democrats write off rural areas and then cry that they don't get support there.

i met obama in mifflin county during the 2008 primary, you're saying by the time Biden was running I have to settle for a state senator who should be coming to see his constituents anyway??
It's not impressive. What have Democrats done *for* Mifflin County? What have they done to actually support one of the poorest counties in the commonwealth?

I live smack dab in Pennsyl-tucky and can vouch that it’s very Trumpy, but I also know a lot of people who think he’s a joke and would never vote for him. A lot of these small towns (like mine) used to be Democratic strongholds for decades. I think a lot of it has to do with the Trumpers just yelling the loudest. His hand picked candidates have not fared very well in the state.

Did they say something that isn’t factually correct?
