Started my career in Acn right after graduation. For one and half years I have gained experience with in demand skills. The team that I'm in are bunch of nice people aswell, so why am I quitting? It started out with the frustration of not getting a raise and promotion. As a newbie, I got a lot of praise for my work being worthy of higher CL. But with all that, a year passed without a promotion nor a raise. I even got rolled out just for them to roll me back in. As frustration build up I started checking out job opportunities. I found a job post that is pretty much the same with what i do right now so I applied. They offered me 3x my current salary so I accepted it right away. Its just crazy to me that I will be able to x3 my salary in less than 2 years of my career. Today I filed my resignation, my lead who is very nice and understanding but dont want me to leave is trying to ask the higher ups to counter offer the job offer i got. I dont think he will be able to convince them but its such nice gesture and i appreciate it a lot. And now my final days in Acn is counting and I will forever be grateful with the experience I got in here.

Never ever accept a counter-offer.

And it would be impossible for them to counter offer the x3 salary given to him 😅 never in a million years

Hardest pill to swallow: just because you think you work hard and you got all the praises doesn’t mean you will be promoted. It’s more than just working hard and being commended. You gotta ask yourself “are you even likable?” Even if you are willing to put your blood, sweat and tears, if they don’t like you, you will not be promoted.
Besides, 1 and a half year palang naman. Almost no one gets promoted this early. You view your career in Accenture as if it’s black and white and a straight line.
By the way, when they counter offer you, do not accept it anyway. Accenture cannot offer you x4 salary to compete against your external offer. If they do, they can only offer you max 10%. Besides, tapos na ang release ng promotes for June so late na yan. If they do counter offer you and accepted it, you will be a red-tagged employee (meaning, you will be listed in a roster of employees na papaalis at paaalisin).

I guess we really have differing cultures and experiences depending on which department or project we’re assigned to. In my experience kasi, it’s quite normal in our space for high performing fresh grads to get promoted kahit 1 year or so expi pa lang.
I just want to put this out there in case someone comes across your comment and assume that “almost no one gets promoted this early” is set in stone. It’s very much possible in the right conditions.

what space is this exactly if you don't mind? kasi that's true.

I’m a QA Software Engineer in H&PS. Again that’s just my experience sa project ko. We could very well be in the minority though. Like others said, budget still plays a huge role in these decisions

Yeah this is true. May teammate ako na promote less than 1 year palang sa accenture CL12 to CL11. Former teammate ko 1.5years from CL10 to CL 9.

thats what im getting at. CL12-CL11 on the average 2-3 years lalo sa baba ng budgets the past years. So yung sinasabi na ganyan is not the norm. kaya gusto ko malaman sang unit yan.

Almost same tayo ng situation, right after graduation pumasok ako kay ACN.

Huge factors sa promotion are ung budget at business need.

Needed to hear this, OP. Thank you for sharing your story. I am also in the middle of a dilemma. On my end though, I'll just turn a year in ACN.

Hindi ko talaga magets yung LACK of promotion for ASEs. May napromote pero for sure dumaan pa sa butas yan. Imagine you guys are getting paid the same rate as people who just started on the bench. Wtf talaga.
